On October 26, 1909, the West Point graduate Frederick E. Humphreys became the first military pilot. He had a mere three hours of training. More incredibly, the Wright Brothers’ flight at Kitty Hawk was December 17, 1903. It was fewer than six years between the first-ever airplane flight and the first official military airplane pilot. WOW.
It was fewer than 60 years–July 20, 1969–before a human being stepped foot on the moon. The rate we went from earthbound to flying planes to the moon is mind-blowing.

A plane is full of a bunch of Redditors, and suddenly a man starts having a heart attack. One of the flight attendants (who frequents r/AskReddit) notices this and quickly shouts: “People of the plane, we’re having an emergency! Is anyone on this plane a doctor?”
Immediately, five people stand up and all say, “I’m not a doctor, but…”
